Gerald Scarfe began is careers as a satirical cartoonist for the magazines punch and the private eye in the early sixties. His work focused on current politics essnesually taking an issue and exposing it in a humourous yet powerfull way. He then spent 50 years working for the London Sunday Times and The New Yorker magazine for 21 years.
